Fall is here, but I’ve noticed there are still some bees about.  Actually last week I was in Portugal with a group at a museum.  As we boarded our bus back, one of our group was being pursued by a persistent bee.  Then the tour guide discovered on on the window near her seat.  She quickly exited her seat as the drive took a leaflet and guided the bee off of the bus.<\/p>\n

We all laughed and applauded. I’m sure the bee was as anxious to exit the bus as we were for her to fly away.  <\/p>\n

Today’s feature song is “Busy, Buzzy, Fuzzy Bumble Bee.”<\/a>  It’s a fun song for vocal<\/a> and piano<\/a> students.  What a great way to introduce the chromatic scale! <\/p>\n

As a music instructor I know how it is to be focused on cementing the basics with a beginner. It really makes the chromatic scale seem like such an unnecessary thing to introduce at this point, but trust me, this is an important and fun part of your student’s learning.
