From the piano book, “The Own Says Hoo” by William Suit for mid to upper elementary students. Learning good technique at the piano should be a fun experience. These ten songs are from the original vocal book, \u201cThe Owl Says Hoo\u201d They have been rewritten as piano solos that are accessible to mid and late elementary students. Also included are the lyrics so that adventurous students can sing along while they are playing. These songs can be used to establish confidence in finger placement and movement of the hand positions. Some of them such as, \u201cFrozen Pine Cone\u201d and \u201cShooting Star\u201d reinforce the use of the C scale. The chromatic scale is explored in \u201cHummingbird\u201d while ocatve jumps are covered in the haunting melody of \u201cSnowy Owl.\u201d \u00a92023 William Suit<\/p>\n
