It’s finally finished and ready to use!  The Owl Says Hoo Circle of Fifths Scale Book is a great resource addition for piano teachers looking for a slightly different approach to scales.  The book follows the logic of the Circle of Fifths, starting at C major and going clockwise page by page around to F# major.  Then counterclockwise, the student can go from F major to Gb major.  The minors are in the second part of the book with the same logical order.  Natural, Harmonic, and Melodic modes are represented.

Each key presents a five-tone scale for beginners, octave scales for elementary levels, and two octave scales for intermediate players.  Finger guides are included.  Of course there’s plenty of space on each page and staff for adaptations, notes, or changes in finger placement if desired.

Each page has a colorful circle of fifths wheel beside the key name, making the approach a little more visually appealing.  Use this resource to build knowledge and theory around the way musicians think – The Circle of Fifths!
