Fall is here, but I’ve noticed there are still some bees about.  Actually last week I was in Portugal with a group at a museum.  As we boarded our bus back, one of our group was being pursued by a persistent bee.  Then the tour guide discovered on on the window near her seat.  She quickly exited her seat as the drive took a leaflet and guided the bee off of the bus.

We all laughed and applauded. I’m sure the bee was as anxious to exit the bus as we were for her to fly away.  

Today’s feature song is “Busy, Buzzy, Fuzzy Bumble Bee.”  It’s a fun song for vocal and piano students.  What a great way to introduce the chromatic scale! 

As a music instructor I know how it is to be focused on cementing the basics with a beginner. It really makes the chromatic scale seem like such an unnecessary thing to introduce at this point, but trust me, this is an important and fun part of your student’s learning. Give it a listen and then go over and purchase it for use in your studio!
